#beautifulinsideandout week 7

Ha ha, what happened to week 6? Don't ask!

Work has been crazy lately. I'm in a new role, and we have been working on a very large and complex project. I was out of the office and on my feet every day, and exhausted and stressed out every night. All my good habits went out the window and I drank too much coffee, ate out too much, ate fast food and comfort food.

But now I am back in the office (so I can easily record my calories), and much less stressed (so I can get back to being healthy.

Here are my goals for my New Start:
  • Exercise four times a week for at least 30 minutes
  • Record calories eaten
  • Eat home-cooked meals 5 days a week
  • No deep-fried foods
My inspiration this week is Dempeaux's post on eating and living healthy. Today I ate a salad and a yoghurt for lunch! We can do this thing!

I need to get on this. Luke and I have been making an effort to cook more which is a HUGE help. healthiness is difficult as a lone venture. And oddly enough my cut down on makeup spendage has helped - I'm suddenly aware of how much money I'm spending on food, which makes me go - "whaa?? I could get two lipsticks for the price of that sandwich!" and so on. That feels a bit weird to admit.

I admire you so much for being able to 'get back to it' after a stressful period at work. When things like that would happen to me the whole healthy eating/ living thing would go out the window for another six months! I hope you have a great week :)

Suzanne: Cooking at home is absolutely key. We should trade easy healthy recipes!

Sarah: Your post was a big inspiration! The #beautifulinsideandout thing is really helpful too, because I feel accountable :)

I want a rabbit on all of my coffee foams.

Good luck for this week, our goals are super similar. (:

Thanks! This was exactly the inspiration I needed right now.

I'm stressing my ass off at work, having mid 30's crisis few years too soon etc.. It's somewhat calming to realize I'm not alone struggling with this :)

Michelle: We can do it!!!

Supah: Thanks so much, you really made my day! It's really hard to eat right and exercise when you're freaking out, but those are two things that really do make you feel better :P
