#beautifulinsideandout week 5

So... you may have noticed that I skipped a week. Oops! The truth is that the last few weeks have been really stressful (huge project at work, tension leading to a four-day headache and now twice-weekly physiotherapy, etc) and I've really let things slide.

At the moment I'm just not set up to keep entering everything I eat at Calorie King, because I'm on my feet all day and not at my desk. So I'm scaling back a bit on my goals. Here are my goals for week 5:
  • Exercise three times a week for at least 30 minutes
  • Cut out lollies and sugary drinks
  • Eat home-cooked meals 4 days a week
  • No deep-fried foods
Hopefully I can scale back a bit, get back into the exercising habit, and be more careful about what I'm eating.

I love your goals! I love that they are always achievable, and never extreme. Work is terrible for throwing all your healthy eating efforts out the window. And the migraine sounds disgusting! I had a four day migraine not long ago - really not fun.

So, I'm still on the sugar reduction thing, and my latest discovery is this snack: natural yoghurt, fruit and nut mix, goji berries, and crushed whole grains. Really filling, gives me lots of energy, and best of all, no refined sugar!

Good luck!

Thanks Sarah :) In the past I've always made huge goals and failed miserably, then used that as an excuse not to do anything :P

One of my favourite treats is chopped up apple and pecans (or walnuts) with natural yoghurt and honey :D

Oh I can relate to that Jess! I'm so going to try that snack too - thanks so much for the idea! :)
